The surprise of the field for the price-conscious driver. Camper owners who switched from the BFG KO2 report comparable real-world performance, with up to a quarter less road noise and better cold-weather grip thanks to the softer compound. Adequate load rating for campers (102T in 225/65R17). Expected life ~40,000 km — half that of a BFG, but at half the price. For 90% motorway + occasional off-road an excellent choice. Not ideal for high-mileage professional touring or extreme terrain.

The consistent winner on road noise — drives almost like a road tyre. Winner of the ADAC all-terrain tyre test. Excellent wear and wet-road performance with a 60,000 km warranty. Off-road it is fine for gravel, light mud and sand, but not for serious terrain.

The surprise of the promobil camper tyre test 2024: quietest of the serious AT tyres at 70.9 dB, with excellent comfort and minimal vibration — and still winner of the entire test as best all-round AT tyre. Best mud traction in the promobil 2024 test. Continental technology gives it a strong on-road base. 65,000 km warranty — longest of all tyres compared. White letters available on request (depending on size and variant).

The iconic name with the strongest off-road reputation — but also the loudest on the road. Best off-road scores across the board. In a modern joint test (2024), however, the KO2 finished 7th of 7, largely due to weaker road and wet performance. The best choice if you genuinely go off-road; for camper owners driving 90% on tarmac, harder to justify.
