Frequently asked questions — Wheels for Volkswagen T5/T6/T7 - 16 inch
The questions we get most often about this collection. Don't see your question? Send us a WhatsApp.
Which wheel bolts do I need for my VW T6?
For your T6, you'll need M14 bolts with a PCD of 5×120 and a center bore of 65.1 mm. Make sure you always use original or equivalent bolts and tighten them to the correct torque. Want to be certain which size fits best? Send us your license plate via WhatsApp.
Can I fit 18-inch wheels on my T5?
Yes, 18-inch wheels technically fit your T5 (2003-2015), but you'll need to account for higher fuel consumption and reduced load capacity due to less sidewall flex. We check beforehand whether the total load capacity with your wheel and tire combination stays safe. Want to work this out? Get in touch via WhatsApp.
What's the difference between ET50 and ET55 for my Transporter?
ET is the distance from the wheel center to the mounting surface; ET50 sits further outward, ET55 inward. For your T6 or T7, the right choice depends on your bodywork and how often you use the tailgate. Send us your license plate and we'll determine what works best for your setup.
Will the wheels from my T5 also fit my T6?
Your T5 and T6 share the same PCD (5×120) and center bore (65.1 mm), so wheels can technically fit. However, ET values and load ratings can differ, so you need to check each set individually. Send us the details of your current wheels and we'll verify whether they'll work safely on your T6.
How do I know which wheel size works best for my camper?
For a VW Transporter, Multivan, or Caravelle, 16, 17, or 18 inches are the typical options; the right choice depends on your fully loaded weight and how you use the vehicle. We check your loading plan and total weight beforehand so your wheels stay reliable under all conditions. Want to go through this together with us?
